As summer winds down, we find ourselves seeking out the current trends for summer to fall transition and finding looks that are perfect for those hot, humid days and cool, crisp nights. The change in the weather offers the chance to look into one’s own wardrobe for inspiration and search for a few key items to pull your new look together.

We love the revival of the denim jacket and vest; but instead of using these items for casual dressing only, consider using them to dress down a floral or glitzy dress.  The military look is back again this season - we couldn't be happier - and with a twist: we see the intersection of utilitarian and luxury.

Everywhere, we’re seeing the return of the lady - where elegance meets sophistication - which is a refreshing respite from the androgynous looks that have come down the runway for the past several seasons.  This look has been featured in many-a September Issue (see Marie Claire September 2010 – “She’s a Lady” and Lucky September 2010 – “Retro Modern”) and its staples have found their way onto our fall shopping wish lists.
