We founded FashionOutsiders.com in July 2010 as a creative outlet for our fashion and style insights as twenty-something girls living and working in New York City.
Introduced in 2009, our friendship was quickly built on a shared love of fashion and mutual admiration of each other’s personal style. After over a year of fawning over the amazing style of the women and men of NYC, scouring stores and boutiques floor to ceiling for unique, unparalleled finds, and adding to our ever-expanding closets, we finally decided to put our passion into practice. Born from a love for and dedication to a life of style, FashionOutsiders.com is a venue for us to share our creativity with others and escape our less fashionable (but still engaging) nine-to-five gigs.
With no connections to or experience in the fashion industry (in New York or abroad), we consider ourselves to be Fashion Outsiders. We hope our catalogued thoughts and interpretations of fashion, style, trends, outfitting, shopping, and interior design influence will resonate with other fellow fashion outsiders and provide inspiration for their own style palettes.
