Having Moment: French Macarons

Ever since Ladurée opened up shop on Madison Avenue, the entire east coast has been obsessed with the pastel coloured dessert known as macarons.  And FYI, it's pronounced ma-car-ahn, not ma-ca-roon - get with the f-ing program or the entire country of France will forever peg you as the asshole who mispronounced their most recognizable treat.  Need proof of their popularity?  All of the below photos, plus more not pictured, were found by searching "maracons Instagram" in Google (and that's Instagram alone).  They're totally having a moment.
