On Fur Collars

It was the photo below, by the talented Jamie Beck of From Me To You, that convinced me that I needed to find myself a fur collar to adorn my winter coats...

So I scoured the internets looking for something comparable. When I had just about enough of my search and was about to give up, I remembered that wonderful little website Etsy.com, a virtual marketplace for handmade and vintage finds from all over the world (like eBay, but infinitely more creative).  Luck was on my side, because almost immediately I found what I was looking for: an amazing, vintage fox fur collar…and for just $30!  Behold…

C'est parfait, non? And fret not - I'm not going to leave you with two just pictures of the collar on a mannequin.  Here it is over my leather Michael Kors jacket.

The lamp post and I were having a pretty jovial chat when this photo was snapped.  So, what say you: are fur collars #toteschic or what?
