Many New Yorkers (myself included) who are not lucky enough or organized enough to be in the Hammies or some other beach/lake situation will celebrate Independence Day by taking it to the roof tops of this glorious city. Whether you are up there legally or not-so-legally, the roofs of NYC are a great place to get some sun and a fresh breeze, as well as to have a prime seat for the phenomonal fireworks display on the Hudson River at dark.
