Still Coveting Céline

By now, you've probably guessed that I have a small (read: huge) obsession with all things Céline.  And since my first post on the fashion house and its creative director Phoebo Philo isn't nearly enough to satiate this infatuation (read: addiction), I figured another entry was in order.

In the previous post I introduced you to the Luggage Shopper/Boston Tote (pictured right), which, much to my dismay, has been sold out at Barneys and Bergdorfs for...well, forever. 

And if the Shopper isn't enough to make me want to dish out more than an entire month's rent just to own it, well, here's another handbag to make me swoon (and my wallet shrink).  Enter: the Monogram Bucket Bag (pictured below).

This gem is not yet available in stores (at least in the US) and is virtually un-Googleable, but I imagine (read: hope) it will descend upon 5th Avenue soon enough.  (It was once available at Département Féminin (€580), a Toulouse, France-based boutique, but is now sold out.)

Donning the classic Céline monogram and subtle leather accents (also available in yellow and blue), this will be a go-to bag for days that call for a small, beautiful bag to throw over your shoulder.  Once I check the Boston Tote off my must-have list, I imagine this one will be the runner up.

p.s. I am reluctant to suggest wallet-friendly alternatives to this beauty, only because it is so uniquely Céline.
