Retail Therapy

After my "annual exam" (ladies, you know what I'm talking about...) I always feel it is appropriate to treat myself to a little retail therapy. Lucky for me my doctor's office is conveniently located right on Broadway in Soho (I may have planned that for just this reason...genius! right?). So this past Friday after my check-up, I popped into Forever 21 to reward myself. While there I picked up an amazing sleeveless trench for $28, print skirt for $7 and neon yellow tee for $5. I then walked with a congratulatory spring in my step over to Old Navy and scored an amazing pair of wedges on sale for $19 to complete my look! So exciting!

All in, the clothing and shoes for this look cost less than $60! Can you believe it??  Out of all my purchases I think the sleeveless trench is the most versatile piece and I'm already thinking of several other ways to style it (for a future post, perhaps...). Here is how I pulled it all together.

Accessories: scarf (actually a sarong) which I've had forever; earrings made in India; shades from a street vendor in Chelsea; bracelets from Forever 21; watch by Coach.

Special thanks to Samantha for her mad-good photography skills and to the real star of the show: the blue door (it just keeps getting better with age...not fair, but super chic!).

Is it the weekend yet?
Peace, B
