fleabags

I somehow stumbled upon fleabags, a little sac à main boutique, while perusing the Internets (doesn't it always happen that way?) and immediately fell in love.  I know, I know.  I say that a lot, but just look at these incredible bags.  There are pouches, shoulder bags, and cool knapsacks (yes, I said cool in reference to a knapsack) that have a decidedly New England-esque feel to them.  The idea for fleabags, the brainchild of Shira Entis and Alex Bell, was born out of the girls' shared distaste for all those plastic bags they would accumulate while indulging in a little flea market shopping.  Sick of the wasteful and environmentally detrimental plastic, they dreamed of a line of fashion-forward and environmentally-conscious bags to carry their finds...et voilà: fleabags was their answer.  Flea marketing has never looked so good.

I wish I had one of these to take Upstate with me last weekend.  Wouldn't the above tote look perfect sitting on a dock with the lake in the background?

Visit their website here and their blog here.  Pick up one for yourself and get to the nearest flea market to test it out!
